PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PD)

NORTHWEST CLERKS INSTITUTE VIRTUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES

It is with great excitement that I announce the return of the NCI PD to an in-person format! So much has happened since we were last together at the University of Puget Sound. I look forward to seeing you again and learning about the experiences that have shaped and shifted your life since 2020.

The need to sharpen professional skills and stay abreast of the latest issues and trends is at an all-time high. The best way to do just that is by investing in continuing education and obtaining certification as a CMC and MMC. The Northwest Clerks Institute provides a comprehensive curriculum in public administration management, technical skills and professional/personal development, and much more. The Institute experience is a unique combination of state-of-the-art classroom training, high impact networking, and one-on-one mentoring with municipal leaders and instructors. The program focuses on issues critical to increasing effectiveness in the public sector and the professional Clerk’s role in those processes. The professional friendships you will develop at the Northwest Clerks Institute will prove invaluable over the course of your career.
