2025 - Luke Lonie, Lynnwood | 2025 WMCA TRAILBLAZER AWARD LUKE LONIE Clerk Clerk for the City of Lynnwood Luke Lonie Honored as Trailblazer Award Recipient by Washington Municipal Clerks Association The Washington Municipal Clerks Association (WMCA) proudly announces that Luke Lonie, City Clerk, City of Lynnwood, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Trailblazer award for 2025. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the municipal clerk field, honoring individuals who demonstrate specific achievements, innovation, or impact accomplished within the past operating year, either for their entity or within WMCA. Luke has been a dedicated member of the Washington Municipal Clerks Association and the municipal clerk profession for four years, making significant strides in advancing the efficiency and governance of their entity through a series of key accomplishments, including updates to an ethics ordinance, the governing bodies’ rules and vacancy processes, as well as records management. In addition, Luke’s contributions to the clerk profession highlights a strong belief in the power of community engagement and unwavering support for the ongoing success of WMCA. “We are thrilled to recognize Luke Lonie for their commitment to excellence and service,” said Elizabeth Adkisson, Immediate Past President of WMCA. “Luke exemplifies the values and mission of our organization, inspiring others in the profession.” The award was presented at the annual WMCA Conference on March 19, 2025, in Blaine, Washington, where colleagues and peers celebrated Luke’s achievements. |
