2025 - Stephanie Haug, West Richland | 2025 WMCA OUTSTANDING CLERK OF THE YEAR AWARD STEPHANIE HAUG, MMC City Clerk for the City of West Richland Stephanie Haug Honored as Outstanding Clerk of the Year Recipient by Washington Municipal Clerks Association The Washington Municipal Clerks Association (WMCA) proudly announces that Stephanie Haug, MMC, City Clerk at the City of West Richland, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Clerk of the Year award for 2025. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the municipal clerk field, honoring individuals who demonstrate specific achievements, innovation, or impact accomplished within the past operating year, either for their entity or within WMCA. Stephanie has been a dedicated member of the Washington Municipal Clerks Association and the municipal clerk profession for seventeen years, making significant strides in process improvements for both the entities for which she serves and WMCA. She has served on numerous WMCA committees, regional clerk’s associations, and is a current WMCA Executive Committee Boardmember. Stephanie has received the highest professional certification available to municipal clerks, the Master Municipal Clerk designation, from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. A highlight from this past year includes providing exceptional service during an emergency situation, supporting both colleagues and community members, through her role as the City’s Public Information Officer. “We are thrilled to recognize Stephanie Haug for her commitment to excellence and service,” said Elizabeth Adkisson, Immediate Past President of WMCA. “Stephanie exemplifies the values and mission of our organization, inspiring others in the profession.” The award was presented at the annual WMCA Conference on March 19, 2025, in Blaine, Washington, where municipal clerk colleagues and peers celebrated Stephanie’s achievements. |
