2025 - Treva Zumek, Buckley | 2025 WMCA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TREVA ZUMEK, MMC City Clerk for the City of Buckley Treva Zumek Honored as Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient by Washington Municipal Clerks Association The Washington Municipal Clerks Association (WMCA) proudly announces that Treva Zumek, MMC, City Clerk, City of Buckley, has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the municipal clerk field, encompassing an individual’s full clerk career, and honoring an individual’s exceptional service in areas that may include, but are not limited to leadership, organization, administration, communications, service to WMCA, professional development, special projects, and community involvement. Treva Zumek has been a dedicated member of the Washington Municipal Clerks Association for seventeen years and the municipal clerk profession for over twenty years, making significant strides in process improvements for both the entities for which she serves and WMCA. She has served on numerous WMCA committees, regional clerk’s associations, and is a WMCA Past President. In addition, Treva has received the highest professional certification available to municipal clerks, the Master Municipal Clerk designation, from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Recent highlights and achievements include updating the City’s fee schedule and personnel policies, implementing software to support efficient public disclosure requests processing and human resources recruitment, and assisted with the relocation of all entity staff during a remodel of City Hall. “We are thrilled to recognize Treva Zumek for their commitment to excellence and service,” said Elizabeth Adkisson, Immediate Past President of WMCA. “Treva exemplifies the values and mission of our organization, inspiring others in the profession.” The award was presented at the annual WMCA Conference on March 20, 2025, in Blaine, Washington, where colleagues and peers celebrated Treva’s achievements. |
